To help get Monte used to the trials and tribulations of being a showcat, I decided it was time for a bath (Liz had given him one before she delivered him but this was his first with me).

Below is the progression from pre-bath (what he looked like before), to the bath, and finally the afterbath (where he and and Bella try to "fix" everything I did to him)

This is what he looked like before his bath

So cute and no idea what's about to happen

And his valliant struggle begins (let's say he was partiallly successful, I have more than one wound)

I normally train Monte to stay on my shoulders. He usually likes to sit up there while I walk around the house and do chores. Somehow while I was bathing him he managed to claw his way onto my shoulders. Getting him off required my friend, Chad, who was taking the photos.

At this point he had generally calmed down and was just sitting there letting me rinse him off. You can see from the look on his face that he is definitely not happy in any way.

The drying part scared him at first but then he realized what it was doing and generally calmed down and let me brush and blow the water out of his fur

Almost dry, however the whole bum area just won't lose the moisture
